| IndivisibleNWI Statement on SCOTUS’s Dobbs Decision: “Horrifying, and just the beginning.” Indivisible NWI issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decision on the Dobbs case, resulting in the overturn of Roe v. Wade: “Make no mistake: the Supreme Court’s decision today to overturn Roe v. Wade is a culmination of a decades-long campaign by Republicans to undermine our rights. This specific case is a blow to each woman’s bodily autonomy, but it does not stop there. Fundamental rights like marriage equality and access to contraception are on the line, too.Republicans have been able to infiltrate our courts and manipulate our checks and balances for far too long. It is time we, the people and ultimate check on our system, reject this and reverse course. Being American means having endless opportunities to gain, but also so much to lose. We must stop these fundamental extremists from taking us back. We will do everything we can going forward to educate the public on this issue and to fight to restore the rights that we thought were settled law.” |
The time to act is not and we cannot let up. Governor Holcomb has called legislatures into session on July 6 with the express purpose of legislating an abortion ban.
