| Indivisible NWI’s Saturday rally was among over 60 around Indiana over the weekend to call for the end of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention at the Miami Correctional Facility. 800 detainees are being held in inhumane conditions, separated from their families. (Indiana Public Media) Conditions at the facility are beyond concerning, in many cases including abuse and medical neglect. Two ICE detainees have died in the facility this year. The vast majority of ICE detainees have never been convicted of a crime. Even if they had, these conditions are inhumane and unconstitutional. (ACLU) |
