Good news from the Dworkin Report:
Following another week of absolute madness from Trump and Musk, I’m happy to deliver more good news today. I hope it gives you some relief—and shows you there are wonderful people everywhere who are fighting back. After Trump’s disgraceful PR stunt with Ukrainian President Zelenksy at the White House yesterday, the worldwide response was resoundingly behind Ukraine. The EU’s Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas said: “the free world needs a new leader.”German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said: “Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside Ukraine—and against the Russian aggression.”French President Emmanuel Macron said: “I think we were all right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago and to continue to do so.”Democrats were unanimous in condemning Trump’s treatment of Zelensky, and even a few Republicans spoke out.GOP Rep. Don Bacon called it “a bad day for America’s foreign policy,” saying: “We should stand for Ukraine, freedom and democracy and against the invading bully.”GOP Rep. Mike Lawler stated: “Sadly, the only winner of today is Vladimir Putin.”During the meeting, Zelensky brutally fact-checked JD Vance in real-time, and repeatedly interrupted Trump’s lies.At the end of it all, Zelensky looked at the press pool and gave a thumbs up with a smile.Zelensky then went on Fox “News” and refused to apologize. Good. Trump is the one who owes an apology—and his resignation—to the world.Speaking of JD Vance—planned protests forced him to cancel his original hotel booking and change venues for a ski trip in Vermont this weekend. Multiple demonstrations are scheduled to go forward today anyway. Indiana Statehouse news will be arriving from us in your inbox soon. Bills are quickly making their way to becoming law.
